Cathy Bouchard-Martin, President
Caribou ATV Club

We wish you success in getting your club up and running.  As you well know, the growth and drastic increase in the amount of ATV traffic indicated a need for an additional club.  Communication is now in progress to inform Brian Bronson (ATV Coordinator - Dept. Of Conservation) of events now developing in our area.

If the Dept. Of Conservation agrees, the Aroostook Valley ATV Club, will relinquish the maintenance and management of all trails over private lands in Caribou.  The Aroostook Valley ATV Club will retain all trails over private lands in Woodland, New Sweden, Stockholm, T16R4 (Madawaska Lake), T17R4 and T17R5 (Guerrette) as they develop. These are the areas the Aroostook Valley ATV Club originally organized to serve.

Although our Club has been successful with volunteers, we also recognize the limits of this resource and the management of the same.  One of our goals is to work with and assist the landowners.  A cooperative spirit needs to prevail in order to continue to ride on private lands, hopefully, a meeting can be arranged to discuss this proposal, assuming approval by the Dept. Of Conservation.

Sincerely,

David Coulters
